Gregory 'Popeye' Alexander

We are pleased to bring you Gregory “Popeye” Alexander of Memory Lane and The International Players Band. Popeye has been in the entertainment industry since his youth, being featured in films such as The Five Heartbeats and Hollywood Shuffle.
He also appeared in music videos with chart topping entertainers like Chaka Khan, Herb Albert, David Bowie, The New Edition and many more.

Jumpin' Joe
He is the host of the Tom Joyner Morning Show from 6 am to 10 am Monday through Friday. He's served the Treasure Coast Community for over 20 years with passion and committment not only behind the microphone, but also in the community.
Jumpin' Joe has served on several boards from Hurricane Disaster Relief during the '04 hurricanes Frances and Jean to high utility rates effecting the residents of the Treasure Coast.
He began his broadcasting career in Montgomery, Alabama immediately upon graduation, and worked at a number of radio stations in the American South, before moving to Chicago at WJPC (AM).
Jumpin' Joe is the cohost of Good News Pay It Forward Friday Show with Anthony Chambers from 10 am - 11 am. They allow listeners on the Treasure Coast to voice their opinions on national and local issues. As you can see Jumpin' Joe has earned his name and loves what he does and the people in which he serves through the air waves of WFLM 104-7 The Flame.

Aaron G
Born in the city of Angels, the kid from the west coast brings his flare to the east coast. Heavy into sports from about the time he could drag around the big plastic red bat, Aaron G was into whatever sport that was in season.
Aaron graduated high school, and was scouted by two major league baseball teams at the age of 17. He attended Jr. College for a few semesters before deciding to enlist in the United States Navy.
For the next 8 years Aaron traveled the world and gained extensive knowledge and experience in communications/radio operations. As an E-3 he ran a communications crew of 20+ personnel (a task usually done by E-5 and above). After the 8 years in the military, he packed up and moved to Florida with his wife for a new start.
Still with a love of radio and music he attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting where he graduated among the top of his class. Aaron has been with WFLM approximately 4 years. You can hear Aaron G Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on the Midday Groove, and on Saturdays from 10-3 on the Aaron G show. He is also the Production Manager. "He wears many hats, but it's part of radio, so sit back relax and enjoy the ride".

Sophia Witherspoon
Sophia is a talented On- Air Personality for WFLM’s Gospel Show on Sunday Mornings. The Gospel Show that Sophia host on Sunday Morning’s itargets the 25-54 Demo from 6am-12noon. Sophia currently teaches Physical Education at Ft Pierce High School and is the head basketball coach at Ft Pierce Central High-school. She graduated from Ft Pierce Central High in 1981 and attended the University of Florida on a basketball scholarship. She played basketball overseas in Switzerland, Hungry and Turkey. She played for the WNBA (Women National Basketball Association) in 1997. She played on the New York Liberty Women’s Basketball team for 3 seasons from 1997 to 1999. She also played for the Portland Fire for two seasons and later played for the L.A. Sparks in 2000. Her team won the WNBA Championship Award in 2002. She’s an outgoing person that loves helping children.

Kenrick Thomas
Kenrick Thomas was born and raised on Long Island, NY and began his career in radio at the age of 17. He attended Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School where he began writing for the school newspaper The Copiague Voice and now Kenrick is the author of "Fall of Greatness" and "Almost Is Not Enough" (will be released in 2012). Kenrick attended Farmingdale College during his time on Long Island, and hosted a weekly show on WRAM 88.9 FM (college station) and was the sports editor for The Rambler (college newspaper). Several years later Kenrick began his professional career at WFLM 104.7 FM

DJ Fresh
This groove controller, from the tropical Island of Jamaica will get you jumping with his vigorous, energetic style of reggae. He started his first gig at a house party with one black Gemini turntable, and later learning how to mix with two. From an early age DJ Fresh was inspired by a local band and played the drums from the age of twelve. He later ventured onto the club scene, played various types of music that launched his career off the Island of Jamaica to different parts of the world. He got the name DJ Fresh by being one of the first local Disc jockey to scratch with Reggae. This landed him a role as the main selector on the sound (Street Hawk) now known as King Courage which currently function mainly in Montego Bay Jamaica. Fresh developed a talent for singing/song writing and producing in which he established his record label (Fresh Productions). His excellent ear and his love for music have allowed him to work with various established artists throughout the world. Prior to making it big in the music industry, artist like Jovie Rockwell, Little Hero, Galexy P, Shanna presently known as Etana, Merceless, Sasha and more; enjoyed working with DJ.Fresh. Some of those times were spent in the garage on the original sound system (Street Hawk) and other time spent in DJ Fresh home studio. Currently DJ Fresh can be heard playing Reggae on 104-7 THE FLAME on Sunday nights from 8 p.m. til midnight.

DJ C Smood
Born in the city of Ocho Rios on the beautiful Island of Jamaica. Raised in Ochi/Kingston JA. Then on to Brooklyn NY as a teenager. Migrated to Florida 10 years later. See the trend here. I am working my way back to u….
I have been in radio since 1996. Started with college radio at Nova Southeastern University Big up all fellow Knights(Sharks Now)current & Alums.
Role Models: My number one role model is my mother. “Love Ya Mama Ruby”
When I'm not on air: I most likely would be playing or coaching soccer(football as we call in Jamaica) or spinning music on my turntables somewhere. I have a real passion for both. Equally as important though is spending time with the family, doing all the family fun stuff. “Luv dem like cook food”. Oh yeah I could also be in your local hospital trying to fix all your breathing /lung issues. So watch di smoking cuz I practice Respiratory Therapy the way I play soccer…“really tough” Shout out to all my fellow RTs out there.
